Employment Scheme
From student to working artist
Finishing a course is the start, not the end. Through our employment scheme, selected students go on to tattoo in our own Birmingham studio under supervision, building the hours and the portfolio that studios actually hire on.
The idea
Bridging the gap from course to career
The hardest step in tattooing is not learning the fundamentals, it is the jump from finishing a course to working confidently on paying clients. Traditional apprenticeships that used to provide that bridge are rare and inconsistent. Our employment scheme is built to fill that gap.
Students who show real promise on our courses are invited to keep tattooing with us afterwards, taking on supervised work in our central Birmingham studio. You continue to learn on the job, with a working artist on hand, while you build real client experience in a professional environment.
What you gain
Why it matters for your career
Supervised studio hours
Keep tattooing after your course with a tutor guiding you, so your confidence and consistency grow on real clients, not just synthetic skin.
A stronger portfolio
Build a folder of supervised, professional work in a real studio, which is exactly what other studios look for when they hire.
A route into the industry
Use your time with us as a springboard to a studio position, guest spots, or setting up on your own with our ongoing support.
How to be considered
It starts with a course
Places on the employment scheme are limited and offered to standout students, so the best way to be considered is to enrol on one of our courses and show us what you can do. Attitude, hygiene and a genuine willingness to learn matter as much as raw talent.
